Position Overview
Director of IT Portfolio Management at TruGreen will be responsible for setting the processes required for managing all projects, programs, and IT portfolio of activities in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. Working directly with Senior leadership, project sponsors, business unit leaders, and peers, this role will be key in IT strategic planning for the company’s digital transformation initiatives.


•    Provides expert guidance, thought and leadership to establish policies, procedures, delivery frameworks, and methodologies for effective project oversight and management in order to meet expectations for project execution, documentation, and ongoing operations
•    Defines the IT governance process, consisting of the intake, prioritization, and engagement model for each line of business, to serve as the core of the IT operating model
•    Assists in designing the IT Service Delivery model, develops and conducts regular reviews to ensure organizational compliance an adherence to the methodology
•    Determines and communicates key performance indicators for measuring project performance in a consistent way across all programs and initiatives
•    Provides portfolio progress updates, including risk assessment, to senior executive leadership
•    Defines and maintains the scorecards and dashboards for all IT projects and initiatives
•    Coordinates with peers, business partners and stakeholders on creating project plans, budgets, scope definition, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables
•    Assists leadership in the development of strategies for meeting department/company goals; assesses and recommends plans to meet short and long-term goals
•    Defines and maintains an agile framework for solutions’ release cycles
•    Builds a framework for aligning IT portfolio with strategic enterprise initiatives 
•    Maintains a short/long term portfolio of IT initiatives’ roadmap 
•    Provides support for resource and capacity planning; and drive ongoing improvement

Education and Experience Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in information technology, computer science, or related field
•    7+ years of experience in related IT program/project management, application, systems development, or IT Solutions field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
•    3+ years of supervisory/management experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Knowledge of solution development methodologies
•    Knowledge of large systems integration
•    Vendor management skills, including budgeting, negotiating, and service level compliance
•    Relationship management and internal consulting skills to developing mutually effective and efficient business partnerships
•    Knowledge of project management methodologies
•    Knowledge of business process development and change management methodologies
•    Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to details
•    Leadership and supervisory skills to direct, coach and develop people manager and individual contributors
•    Verbal and written communication skills, including executive presence and delivering presentations
•    Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
