Position Overview

This role is responsible for the delivery of technologies and associated business processes that will increase impressions, consumer responses and ultimately sales conversions in both offline and digital channels. This leader must ensure we are deploying secure and efficient technology ecosystem and  also lead initiatives related to emerging and IoT technologies to ensure TruGreen is leveraging the technologies to improve the customer experience and profitability. He/she will work cross functionally with various departments as well as with the executive team to determine how to best leverage marketing technology investments to support the company’s long-term revenue and growth goals.


1. Ensure the team is aligned with marketing and sales goals and is supported by business partners

2. Support the team with resources required for success and coordinate priorities with IT and business leaders

3. Aid in the development of the technology strategy and ensure strategy execution

4. Analyze the business requirements of applicable departments to determine their technology needs

5. Identify opportunities to utilize and implement digital and emerging technologies to improve productivity / efficiency across the enterprise

6. Work with business partners to evaluate, measure, and improve/redesign business processes

7. Mentor team to continuously seek out process improvements and the associated process performance metrics

8. Partner and lead business transformational efforts and help identify change management requirements

9. Manage capital and operating budgets and provide leadership and guidance on how to best allocate funds towards technologies / personnel.

10. Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years in marketing technology experience
  • 7+ years of IT leadership responsibilities
  • BSc/BA in computer science, marketing, engineering, business, or relevant field; MBA/MSc/MA is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately drive innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of PCI requirements and impacts on agent/customer facing technologies
  • Knowledge of Data Platforms: such as CDPs, DMPs, CEMs a plus
  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation and Operations: Marketo, Pardot, Unica a plus
  • Knowledge of Marketing Analytics, Content Management, Tagging and Pixel Management technologies and practices
  • Solid understanding of Lead and Campaign Management solutions
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies – i.e.: AI/ML (Natural Language, Sentiment, Micro-Segmentation, Personalization, risk scoring, retention analytics, …), chatbot, RPA, IoT
