Position Overview

Manages the operations, daily planning, engineering, design, and resource allocation for the Company's Network functions.  Oversee the development of the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical network architecture. Responsible for strategic network planning and works with senior IT leadership to coordinate network plans with those of the business.

Responsibilities

1) Oversee the building, configuration, and updates of network equipment for all high level infrastructure plans, and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementation.

2) Managing installs, configurations, and turn-ups of network equipment and service for the company.

3) Responsible for making recommendations to leadership in regards to equipment, technology, and capacity; will provide technical leadership and consulting across the company.

4) Managing within organizational compliance in accordance with corporate and business unit policies, standards and procedures.

5) Responsible for maintaining traffic management equipment for the company. 6) Responsible for keeping an inventory of network assets and ensuring the equipment is covered under proper maintenance agreements.

7) Providing support and consulting to employees in regards to development daily support activities.

8) Coordinate the introduction and deployment of new concepts globally across distributed computing, voice services, transport services, network operations center, and call center technologies organizations.

9) Monitors network performance and provides all necessary reporting analysis. Investigates anomalies/outages and to determine root cause, steps to reproduce solutions options.

10) Managing operational metrics to ensure system stability to meet high availability needs through proper system maintenance and change management in a multi-customer environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in MIS, Business Management, Computer Science, or related field.  
  • Eight years of experience in Telecom or Networking engineering and/or implementation including 2+ years or experience Managing Telecom or Networking organizations preferred
  • Experience leading multiple projects including implementation, refreshes, and upgrades
  • Experience evaluating technologies and dealing with vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, technologies, architecture and resources
  • Knowledge of IT networking equipment and protocols (Cisco, F5, and Cloud Architectures)
  • Ability to configure and manage security-centric technologies
  • Ability to oversee issues to resolution
  • Knowledge of company products and services
