Position Overview

Leads the design and implementation of cloud and enterprise solutions, standards, and processes as well as works across engineering teams to identify, define, and manage project milestones. Uses fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze operational data/methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and/or implement technology systems that meet business objectives. Researches, designs, develops, deploys, and/or supports new and current technology solutions.


1. Document Requirements for Multi-Cloud IT infrastructure Solutions.

2. Work with our Business Units and 3rd Party Technology Partners to develop joint solutions.

3. Implement Solutions in Lab and execute POC’s to validate designs.

4. Develop business cases that validate technical and commercial feasibility of a joint solution.

5. Design and implement secure network solutions, ensuring all implemented projects meet best practice security guidelines.

6. Designs, implements, and supports new cloud environment and existing enterprise infrastructure.

7. Deploy and maintain logical and physical architectures as well as documenting test plans, risk assessments, and other documents to ensure sound architectures that meet client needs.

8. Assists in monitoring cloud and enterprise performance along with providing all necessary reporting analysis.

9. Assists in investigations of anomalies/outages to determine root cause, steps to reproduce, and solutions options. 10. Leads ITIL (Information Technology Information Library) problem management and resolution in the support of deployed technology and acts as subject matter expert on escalated production outages.

11. Participates in the development of accurate statements of work for outside vendors and financial justification analysis.

12. Participate in security compliance efforts (PCI DSS, SOX).

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree and 8+ years in IT Infrastructure design required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science, math, engineering, or information technology required and 6+ years of experience working in a network security role preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Software Engineering preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cloud, Routing and Switching, Data Center Certification or equivalent Cloud Provider certifications Required
  • Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and skill to summarize and interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Time management and organizational skills as well as ability to work on multiple projects
  • System engineering/analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Industry Expertise in contemporary, emerging, and cloud network technologies including but not limited to the following: Ethernet, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN DMVPN, QoS, and VoIP.
  • Ability to evaluate Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements and recommend compliant wired and wireless network designs.
  • Expertise in load balancing/SSL acceleration.
  • Industry Expert in Cloud Infrastructure or Enterprise Networking
