Position Overview

Processes company's accounts payable records and assists the accounting department to maintain accurate records, also assists with incoming client payments.  Supports employees and managers for all aspects of accounts payable processes. This is an entry level role with great opportunities to learn many aspects of full cycle Accounts Payable/Accounting.  This position requires 35 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.  This is not a remote position and is in our Mississauga office. Hourly Rate of $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of vendor invoices

  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships with vendors

  • Generate Accounts Payable debit memos and adjustments

  • Reconciliation of vendor statements and general ledger accounts

  • Use Microsoft Suite of products and accounting programs (JDE), skill level needs to be exceptional.

  • Maintain Purchase Order System

  • Any additional, related functions assigned by department management

  • Assist Payroll Supervisor with the weekly audits in creating and analyzing the data

  • Organizational and time management skills, including process orientation and punctuality for on-time attendance

  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
